Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has scooped the Barclays Player of the Month prize for an unprecedented fifth time after a fantastic month which saw him star in emphatic wins over title rivals Manchester United and high-flying Aston Villa. Boss Rafa Benitez picked up the Barclays Manager of the Month award, meanwhile, to make it a one-two for the Reds.
