Barclays have announced a donation of £100,000 for Sport Relief after the Barclays Premier League's top marksmen raised the sum of cash during fixtures played over the course of Sport Relief Weekend (20-21 March).

In what has already been a record breaking season in terms of the number of goals scored, a further 29 strikes were added during Sport Relief Weekend from a total of 138 shots on target, netting an initial £98,000 for charity, which Barclays rounded up to £100,000.

Sunderland striker Darren Bent raised the highest individual total of the weekend after having five shots on target and scoring twice, raising £4,500 in the process.
