Hollywood stars and music maestros show their love for the Barclays Premier League

In the last three months Hollywood actor Idris Elba, UK rapper Chipmunk and US singer Mike Posner have all been pictured with the Barclays Premier League trophy, talking about the top-flight clubs they love and support.

British born actor Idris Elba grew up in Hackney and Canning Town and has supported Arsenal FC since he was a teenager. "I believe this current team is good enough to go all the way and lift the title. I think they have the determination but they need to hold onto their leads better. Arsenal can do it!"

UK rapper Chipmunk narrowly missed a number one hit with his single Champion, featuring Chris Brown. As a young boy he also played for Arsenal's youth team alongside current first team star Jack Wilshere. "Jack played exactly the same as he does now. The ball is glued to his feet" said the young rapper.

Michigan born Mike Posner recently visited London and got to meet the trophy. "It is so surreal to be able to stand in the same room as this thing and touch it. It is one of the most prestigious trophies in the world, so I'm in awe at the moment!" said the 23-year-old singer, songwriter and producer.

He added: "I am a huge Wayne Rooney fan so my favourite team is Manchester United. I feel a certain kinship to Wayne because we both have red beards!".

The trophy will continue to meet celebrity football fans who just can't get enough of the most exciting league in the world!
