TEVEZ AND MCLEISH SCOOP BARCLAYS AWARDS

Manchester City's Carlos Tevez and Birmingham City manager Alex McLeish were presented with the Barclays Player and Manager of the Month awards for December on Friday. The Argentinean striker netted an impressive six goals in seven games over the festive period as City climbed to within touching distance of the Barclays Premier League top four. McLeish, meanwhile, oversaw City's best top-flight unbeaten run for 100 years as the Blues soared into the top half of the table.
