Barclays Spaces for Sports - Football legend appearances

Last week the Lexis Sport team were deployed across the country ahead of one of the most exciting weekends in the Barclays Premier League calendar.

Former Aston Villa striker Dion Dublin was speaking at the Aston Park Sports pitch ahead of the Birmingham derby. Chris Waddle, who has played for both Sunderland and Newcastle, was at The Millennium centre in Washington to talk about the Tyne and Wear derby. Ahead of the Mersyside derby former Liverpool star Dietmar Hamman was at Anfield Sport and Community Centre while Glenn Hoddle and Peter Schmeichel went to the White Hart Lane Community Centre ahead of the Tottenham v Manchester United game.

All of the sites visited by the five football legends were created by Barclays Spaces for Sports, a partnership between Barclays and the Football Foundation launched back in 2004.
